A well respected icon in the national Energy and Utility sector, our client has a current requirement for a Condition Monitoring Engineer with relevant electrical engineering qualifications to join their ranks. Based in Adelaide, the role will contribute to the development of condition monitoring strategies across a broad range of assets including their portfolio of renewable and green energy power generation sites throughout Australia.
 
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an industry leading organisation as part of their national asset management group. The position will support the development, review and improvement of existing condition monitoring strategies and programs by providing condition monitoring expertise in electrical plant and systems. Integral to the role is performing diagnostic tests, specialist investigations, undertaking asset integrity/condition assessments and coordinating external resources.  

To be successful, it is expected that you will have a technical background, possess tertiary qualifications ideally in an electrical discipline and at least two years proven experience in machinery condition and electrical testing diagnostics (Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasonic Testing). Essential to the role are very strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Prior training in vibration monitoring to VCAT2 requirements will be highly regarded.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will take ownership of efficient and productive resource extraction and all associated activities with the primary focus being to manage the site based contractor.

To ensure the company's vision, strategy and values are communicated and understood by employees and contractors, you will be required to assume responsibility for monitoring and ensuring the contractor meets measurable contractual performance targets.

Devise implementation strategies to drive production, review and improve existing systems and procedures and ensure total control of mission critical objectives. You will fearlessly take on all issues and challenges and comfortably work through conflict.

Deal promptly and fairly with problem performance and be energized by tough challenges to achieve a status quo.

HAVE YOU
Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering
An evolved understanding of resource extraction efficiencies.
A desire to take up a challenging and rewarding senior management opportunity
