A well respected icon in the national Energy and Utility sector, our client has a current requirement for a Condition Monitoring Engineer with relevant electrical engineering qualifications to join their ranks. Based in Adelaide, the role will contribute to the development of condition monitoring strategies across a broad range of assets including their portfolio of renewable and green energy power generation sites throughout Australia.
 
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an industry leading organisation as part of their national asset management group. The position will support the development, review and improvement of existing condition monitoring strategies and programs by providing condition monitoring expertise in electrical plant and systems. Integral to the role is performing diagnostic tests, specialist investigations, undertaking asset integrity/condition assessments and coordinating external resources.  

To be successful, it is expected that you will have a technical background, possess tertiary qualifications ideally in an electrical discipline and at least two years proven experience in machinery condition and electrical testing diagnostics (Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasonic Testing). Essential to the role are very strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Prior training in vibration monitoring to VCAT2 requirements will be highly regarded.

A global diversified group is looking for an experienced Environmental Advisor for its underground Nickel operation base in Perth, FIFO on 8:6 roster, you will be reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Environmental Advisor is responsible for providing expertise in the field of environmental management and ensure operational compliance is within statutory and corporate requirements. A pre-requisite of this position is an enthusiastic attitude combined with a minimum of TWO years experience in Australian mining situation or similar.

The Environmental Advisor's key accountabilities include:

- Ensuring compliance with environmental licence conditions and other environmental statutory requirements;
- Ongoing consultation with regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and seek project approvals;
- Identifying and managing environmental risks;
- Facilitating environmental awareness and training activities throughout the mine site;
- Ongoing improvement of the environmental management system; and
- Ensuring good clear communication lines between all departments and contractors.

Skills/Qualifications required are:

- Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management or equivalent
- Driver;s Licence C Class
- Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and the WA approval process;
- Thorough understanding of the principles of sustainable development; ecosystem function; environmental restoration; and water, energy, waste and land management;
- Possess strong report writing and data management skills;
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong technical and scientific background; and
- Computer literate, including spreadsheets, word documents; and database systems.
